1. INTRODUCTION

FORGELAB DIGITAL PRODUCTS, S.L. (trading as “Askpancho”) uses cookies and similar technologies on the website https://askpancho.ai (referred to below as “the Platform”) to make it work and, if you accept, to measure how it is used and how well our ads perform.

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which types we use, what we use them for and how you can manage them. This policy supplements our Privacy Policy and should be read together with it.

2. WHAT ARE COOKIES?

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device (computer, tablet, mobile phone) when you visit a website. They allow the website to remember your actions and preferences for a period of time, improving your browsing experience.

2.1. Similar Technologies

As well as cookies, the Platform uses:

Local storage (localStorage): Similar to cookies but with more capacity. It stays in your browser until you delete it.
Session storage (sessionStorage): Data that is deleted when you close the tab.
Google tag (gtag.js): Google code that manages analytics and advertising cookies according to your choice (see section 4.3).

3. TYPES OF COOKIES WE USE

3.1. By Who Sets Them

First-party cookies: Set and managed directly by Askpancho.

Third-party cookies: Set by Google (Google Analytics and Google Ads), only if you accept them.

3.2. By Duration

Session cookies: Deleted when you close the browser.

Persistent cookies: Remain for a set period.

3.3. By Purpose

Technical (Necessary) Cookies

Purpose: They allow browsing and the use of the features you ask for: keeping you signed in, remembering your language, your currency and your cookie choice, and resuming an inspection in progress.
Duration: Varies depending on the cookie (see section 4.1).
Can they be disabled? Not from the Platform (without them the site would not work properly). They do not need your consent.

Analytics Cookies

Purpose: To collect information about how you use the Platform.
Provider: Google Analytics 4.
Data collected: Pages visited, time spent, device used and where the visit came from.
Duration: Up to 2 years.
Can they be disabled? Yes. They are only used if you accept them.

Advertising Cookies

Purpose: To measure which Google ads bring visits and purchases, and to allow ads personalised to your interests.
Provider: Google Ads.
Duration: 90 days.
Can they be disabled? Yes. They are only used if you accept them.

4. COOKIES AND STORAGE WE USE

4.1. First-Party and Technical

user_session (cookie, 30 days): Keeps you signed in after you verify your email. Only our server reads it.
cookie-consent (localStorage): Remembers your choice about the use of cookies.
language-storage (localStorage): Stores your language.
currency-storage (localStorage): Stores the currency in which we show you prices and when your country was detected.
askpancho-identity (localStorage): Stores the name and email you typed, so you are not asked for them again in this browser.
askpancho-inspection-session (localStorage): Stores the guided inspection in progress (its identifier, the property, the mode and the order code) so you can pick it up where you left off.
Interface preferences (localStorage and sessionStorage: ap_home_seen, ap_home_greet_idx, ap_bubbles_streamed, apz:zoneStarted:*, askpancho.lastThread, ap-language-suggestion-dismissed, promoBannerDismissed_*): Remember which chat greetings and messages you have already seen, which area reports you have opened, the last chat you had open and the notices you have closed.
pendingErrors (localStorage): Only if the connection fails when you come back from a payment, it keeps the technical error so it can be sent to us later.

4.2. Partner Links and Coupons

affiliate_ref and affiliate_ref_date (localStorage, 30 days): If you arrive through a partner’s link, they store the partner’s code so the recommendation can be credited to them if you buy.
coupon_ref and coupon_ref_date (localStorage, 30 days): If you arrive through a link with a coupon, they store the code so the discount is applied when you pay.

These codes identify the partner or the campaign, not you.

4.3. Third-Party: Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads

These cookies are only set if you accept them:

_ga (Google Analytics, 2 years): Distinguishes unique users by assigning a randomly generated number.
_ga_*, where * is the property ID (Google Analytics, 2 years): Keeps the session state.
_gcl_au (Google Ads, 90 days): Measures ad conversions.
_gcl_aw and other Google Ads cookies (90 days): If you arrive from a Google ad, they store the identifier of that click.

We use Google’s consent mode. Until you accept, the Google tag loads with analytics and advertising denied: it does not set these cookies, but it may send Google cookieless signals (for example, that a page has loaded), which Google uses for aggregated estimates. If you arrive from an ad, the click identifier may be passed in the address of the pages you visit on the Platform.

If you accept analytics cookies, the Platform also asks the ipapi.co service for your country based on your IP address, to show you prices in your currency (at most once every 30 days). That request does not set cookies.

Note: Google Analytics 4 (GA4) does not log or store IP addresses.

4.4. Payments with Stripe

To pay, you go to Stripe’s payment page (checkout.stripe.com), which is a Stripe site. Stripe sets its own cookies there to process the payment and prevent fraud, under its Privacy Policy. No Stripe code is loaded on askpancho.ai.

5. CONSENT AND CONTROL OF COOKIES

5.1. Consent

The first time you open a page of the Platform, a cookie notice is shown where you can choose:

Accept all: Analytics and advertising cookies are turned on.
Essential only: Only the technical cookies needed for the site to work are used.
Customise: You choose analytics and advertising cookies separately; they are switched off until you switch them on.

Without your active acceptance, analytics and advertising cookies are never turned on. The chat does not show the notice: if you go straight into it without having chosen, only technical cookies are used.

5.2. Withdrawing Consent

You can change your cookie preferences or withdraw your consent at any time:

From “Cookie settings”, at the bottom of every page of the Platform.
By clearing your browser’s browsing data.
By changing the cookie settings in your browser.
By contacting us at pancho@askpancho.ai.

If you withdraw your consent, analytics and advertising cookies stop being used. You can delete any that were already set from your browser.

6. HOW TO MANAGE AND DELETE COOKIES

6.1. From Your Browser

You can set your browser to:

Block all cookies.
Accept only first-party cookies.
Delete cookies when you close the browser.
Warn you before cookies are stored.

6.3. Consequences of Disabling Cookies

If you disable cookies:

Technical cookies: The Platform may not work properly. You will not be able to stay signed in or resume an inspection in progress, and your language and cookie preferences will not be remembered.
Analytics and advertising cookies: This will not affect your user experience, but it will limit our ability to improve the service based on usage data and to measure our ads.

7. COOKIES AND PERSONAL DATA

Some cookies may process personal data such as:

Unique user identifiers.
Information about the device and browser.

7.1. International Transfers

Google may transfer data outside the European Economic Area (EEA). These transfers are made with appropriate safeguards under the GDPR, including:

Standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
The EU–US Data Privacy Framework (DPF), under which Google is certified.

8. UPDATES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this policy to reflect:

Changes to the cookies we use.
New legal requirements.
Improvements to our practices.

Updates will be published on this page with the date of the latest update.

9. LIABILITY

The user is responsible for the settings of their browser and devices. Askpancho is not responsible for:

Incorrect browser settings.
Problems resulting from blocking technical cookies.
Incompatibility with outdated browsers.

11. GLOSSARY

Cookie: A text file stored on the user’s device.
Session: The period from when you access the platform until you close it.
Persistent cookie: A cookie that remains after the browser is closed.
Third-party cookie: A cookie set by a domain other than the one visited.
Opt-out: The option to refuse or disable cookies.
localStorage: Local browser storage that remains until it is deleted manually.
sessionStorage: Browser storage that is deleted when the tab is closed.

12. VERSION AND LANGUAGES

This policy is available in Spanish and in English. If there is any discrepancy between the two versions, the Spanish version prevails.
